AI Growth Zones electricity price support for data centres

Government plans to discount electricity costs for large data centres located in three regional AI Growth Zones from April 2027. The aim is to place new, power-hungry demand where it can absorb otherwise curtailed renewable output and relieve constraint costs, without increasing bills for other customers.
